Thomas Baur was the former President of the firm and was recognized as a leading attorney in German-American legal affairs. In 2008, President Köhler awarded him the Federal Cross of Merit of Germany. Attorney Baur also earned the German-American Friendship Award, one of the highest honors given to Americans by the German government. During his esteemed career, he and the firm represented some of Germany’s most important entrepreneurial families in their Florida investments and many German music, television and film stars in their US engagements.

After studying law in Heidelberg and Lausanne, Attorney Baur completed his first and second state examinations (J.C.B.), with a working stay in Venezuela. He later moved to Florida and completed a Masters in Comparative Law (M.C.L.) and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the University of Miami School of Law.

Attorney Baur practiced commercial and corporate law, tax law, international private law, comparative law, international inheritance law, trust and estate planning,  immigration law and real estate law. He was admitted in the US and Germany as a lawyer and as a Florida legal specialist in international law (B.C.S.). Attorney Baur was awarded the highest possible rating (AV) by the prestigious law firm rating agency Martindale-Hubbell.
